How much does an AC tune-up cost?
Our standard precision AC tune-up is $85 during the spring season. Hero Club members get both a spring AC tune-up and a fall heating tune-up included in their membership — plus priority scheduling and 15% off any repairs.
How often should I have my AC tuned up?
Once a year, ideally in the spring before the heat hits. Systems that aren’t tuned annually lose efficiency, run longer, and are far more likely to break down on the hottest days of the year.
What's the difference between a tune-up and a 'check'?
A real tune-up includes cleaning the condenser coil, measuring refrigerant pressures, testing electrical components, clearing the condensate drain, and verifying airflow. A ‘check’ is usually a five-minute visual that misses everything that actually matters.
Will a tune-up really lower my bill?
A dirty coil and weak airflow can absolutely raise summer cooling costs. Restoring proper operation typically pays for the tune-up over the course of a Texas summer.
Is the $85 special a bait-and-switch?
No. The $85 covers the full precision tune-up. If we find something that needs repair, we’ll show you what we measured and give you a written quote — but there’s zero pressure, and our techs aren’t paid on commission.
