How much does AC repair cost in DFW?
Costs vary by part and labor — a capacitor swap is on the low end; compressors and evaporator coils are much higher. Reliant gives you a written quote before any work begins, so you’ll never get a surprise bill.

What brands do you install and service?
How often should I replace my air filter?
Most disposable filters last 1–3 months. 4-inch media filters can last 6–12 months. Pets, allergies, and DFW dust all shorten that window.
Is it worth repairing my AC or should I replace it?
Rule of thumb: if it’s under 10 years old and the repair costs less than half a replacement, repair. Over 12 years old with expensive repairs? Replacement usually pays for itself in a few summers. We’ll tell you honestly which makes sense.
What size AC do I need?
The right size depends on a Manual J load calculation — not a guess off the old unit. Oversized systems short-cycle and never dehumidify; undersized systems run constantly. We do a real load calc on every replacement.
How long does an AC installation take?
Most residential replacements are done in one day. Larger or more complex jobs may take two. We always tell you up front.
